Wilsopedia

This is the archive of the Wilson Trophy.  In this section we’ll be using the internet’s unique capabilities to bring together all the information we can from the very first Wilson (though it wasn’t called that until 1952) on 28th May 1949 to the present day and then keeping it up-to-date.

We aim to collect as much information not only about each event but also about "off-site" relevant facts and, if it fits, the fanciful.
Into this category we will put, for instance, the development of umpiring.  

The sections will be organised like this:

Years

For each year we’ll record the results (in as much detail as possible – not just the 1-2-3, the teams, the members of those teams, press cuttings, copies of programmes, notices of race, sailing instructions, memories and anything else we can find relating to each year.

Teams

We’ll compile a database of teams that have taken part in the event and the years of their participation.

Competitors

In the same way we’ll compile a database of competitors showing the years they took part and the teams they sailed for.  With their permission we’ll also include an email address
